Airplane That Can Transport A Train? Trains being delivered by airplane? That’s something I thought was totally impossible till now. We don’t normally feature planes within the newsletter but this would make for an interesting thing to model. The first of 424 Bombardier metro cars for Delhi arrived in India onboard an Antonov Airlines AN-124-100M high capacity freight aircraft a couple of years ago. It’s a sight certainly worth watching. One of our SMS team members says this Antonov Airlines AN-124-100M plane flew low over his house coming into land at the nearby airport, & was very impressed by the sheer size of the thing. How it manages to carry such heavy loads is an amazing feat of engineering, to say the least. Here’s the video…
