
Bachmann FNA Nuclear Flask Carrier – OO Scale

Bachmann FNA nuclear flask wagon. A finely detailed model of one of the more unusual wagons on the UK rail network. To date the versions that Bachmann have covered are:
- Beige flat floor round buffers
- Blue flat floor (ltd ed run of 500)
- Beige sloping floor, oval buffers
- Beige sloping floor, round buffers
Released in 2011 onwards this model has been a very popular model for modern image modellers. Use with RNA barrier wagons. Model features many detailed parts, fine-scale wheels, handrails, NEM coupling pockets & removable small tension lock couplings. Fine printed details & good livery application. A pack of extra detail parts such as handrails, taillamp, pipes etc is included.
The Flatrol Atomic Waste wagon built 1976 to 1978 at Ashford, Shildon in 1982, Swindon in 1986 as well as Procor Ltd in 1988. These are used to carry spent nuclear waste from the various BNFL power stations to the nuclear waste reprocessing plant at Sellafield in Cumbria. The nuclear flask is carried underneath the white hood. These trains make for fascinating consists to model.
