Bachmann GWR Mogo Wagon
Bachmann GWR Mogo Wagon
First released by Bachmann back in 1991 by Mainline onwards with the model later joining Bachmann’s Blue Ribbon Range. Including the Mainline tooling version Todate there have been around 21 releases so far. In 2001 this model was retooled by Bachmann with an upgraded chassis, which it was then incorporated into Bachmann’s Blue Ribbon Range.
The model features finescale wheels, small type removeable tension lock couplings in a NEM coupling socket box. The model has fine printed decoration with some fine moulded detailed parts. The model also features a built in ballast weight which gives the wagon good running. The liveries offered so far have been GWR dark grey, BR brown, BR grey, & a limited edition BR Satlink red & yellow livery.
Mogo vans were used to transport cars, these vans have doors at both ends including drop down flaps which rested on top of the buffer stocks. This allowed the cars to drive on to & off the van as well as allowing cars to drive through van to van during loading & unloading. Inside the van was equipped with tide down gear & wheel chocks to prevent cars from moving in transit. As well as transporting cars, these vans was also used for carrying general merchandise.
