Bachmann MEA 45t Open Mineral Wagon – OO Scale
The MTA box wagon was the result of redundant TTA tank wagon chassis being rebuilt with an open box steel body being fitted to the TTA wagon chassis. They were re-coded as TTA on the Tops system. Originally ordered by EWS to use as ballast/spoil waste carriers. Usually runs with MFA & MHA wagons for Network Rail infrastructure traffic. Thus an essential wagon for any post-1990’s era modern image layouts.
Bachmann released the MEA wagon back in 2005 to their Blue Ribbon Standard. Model features NEM sockets & small style tension lock couplers, diecast chassis & fine scale wheels. Some weathered versions have also been released as well.
