Bachmann PNA Railtrack Box Open Wagon
Bachmann FIA Intermodal Twin Container Wagon
Another one from Bachmann, this time it’s the PNA 34 Ton air braked Ballast/Spoil wagon. During the 1990’s a need for more air braked ballast spoil wagons was needed, Marcroft engineering constructed these wagons for CAIB. The early PNA wagons used reduant chassis of monobloc oil tank underframes. These retained the orginal suspension & buffers. Like the real thing. Bachmann have released two versions of this wagon, five ribs per side type & also those built wit seven ribs per side.
The model features fixed buffers, small NEM tension lock couplings & NEM coupling pocket. The model also features fine scale profile wheels & fine printed details. Both pristine & weathered versions have been released. The livery of these wagons is green with RailTrack branding. Bachmann released this PNA model around 2007.

Summary An excellent model & up to the usual high standards that one expects from Bachmann. Essential model for modern image modellers.
