Bachmann POA/SSA Wagon
First released by Bachmann back in 1997 onwards with the model later joining Bachmann’s Blue Ribbon Range. Todate there have been around 18 releases so far, mainly in the pale blue livery. There have been some factory weathered releases also produced over the years.
The model features finescale wheels, small type removeable tension lock couplings but sadly no NEM coupling socket box. The model has fine printed decoration with some fine detailed parts such as side ladder & hand brakewheel. The model also features a built in ballast weight which gives the wagon good running.
The real POA/SSA wagon were built using redundant PGA hopper chassis. Under BR they were given TOP’s code POA but later on changed to SSA for use as steel carriers.

Summary Reasonable model but let down by not having NEM couplings. Good runner & decoration.
