Ongoing Progress – Catenary
On the back of the Catenary kit build articles this is a quick update with the progress of installing them on the layout. The masts have gone through the paint shop & received a coat of primer paint followed by galvanized paint. The next job will be to weather & tone down galvanized finish.
For the galvanized paint I’ve used a galvanized aerosol spray can paint from Halfords. The paint can be found here:
The gantry’s received a couple of light coats of galvanized paint. Before weathering & toning down the next job will be to fit the hangers & registration arms from the gantry’s.
Below is a few images of the masts fresh out the paint shop with the galvanized paint finish, showing them in the positions marked out for them on the layout. The masts are going to be set into the platforms hence the masts being set further back from the track work.
