Dapol Network Rail JNA Open Wagon
Dapol Network Rail JNA Wagon
Released on to the market by Dapol in 2010 onwards, the JNA is another essential wagon for the modern image modeller. The JNA’s are used by Network Rail on engineering trains throughout the UK rail network. These wagons are used to carry ballast & waste spoil to & from work engineering sites around the UK. Built by Astra Vagone in Romania, a total of 555 JNA’s were built, entering service around 2004 onwards. The wagons have reinforced central doors on each side to facilitate cleaning. They are generally run in rakes of five & carry the yellow livery of Network Rail.
The wagons are built to Dapols excellent high standard, these wagons are excellent runners. They have given countless hours of trouble-free running on my layout. Weathered editions of this wagon have been released/commissioned by Dapol for Hatton’s. The model has many fine detail parts including lots of detailed underframe details. Wheels are of fine-scale profile & very free running. Couplings are of the removable small NEM tension lock type with NEM coupling sockets. Bogie side frames are a little on the thick side, though that may be down to the limitations of the tooling technology.
Key Features:
- Fine-scale wheels
- Fine detailed parts
- Fine printed decoration
- Small NEM tension lock couplings
- NEM coupling box
- Era 2004 onwards
- Weathered versions available
- Liveries: Network Rail
