One from Hornby Magazine Archives now from a couple of years ago as they take a look at the DCC Concepts Power Base System. This works on all layouts be it DCC or DC powered. This system allows trains much-improved haulage up inclines or anywhere around the layout. The Powerbase system has two parts, lightweight metal plates that fitted under the track & small powerful magnets fitted on the underside of the loco. The magnets pull the loco down when running over sections of track fitted with the plates, this, in turn, gives the loco much-improved grip & traction. This allows locos to haul scale length trains up inclines & around the layout. Power Base is offered in two track gauges OO/HO scale & N Gauge.
