Absolutely fantastic video full of useful hints and tips even if you’re not modelling the exact same sort of scene (who knew about using the soldering iron to get bubbles out!).
Personally for ground effect cover I use different siftings of beach sand from Felpham beach (i know you’re not supposed to remove large quantities but a small handful is not much different to what usually ends up in my shoes or trunks!)
