level crossings
Looking on the internet and reading other rail modellers comments I saw how difficult it is to install and set up a level crossing. I was wondering if it could be made a lot simpler and easier.
Came up with an idea which I posted on YouTube ( level crossing without servo motors )
It only uses one motor. There is no “snatch” with this like you get with servos. The speed and also the lift height of the barriers adjustable.
The set up works with magnets and reed switches in automatic mode or manually with the two push switches.
The YouTube film is working with home made barriers just to show the principle.
The best part is, it only takes a weekend to set up.
