LNER class 800 ‘Azuma’ – First Day of Service May 15th 2019

In the railway news this week is the new class 800 Azuma as it enters passenger service on the ECML (East Coast Main Line). MT Productions takes a look & a trip aboard this brand new train. The 800’s will be gradually replacing the 225’s (class 91’s & mk4’s) & HST’s on the ECML, though LNER may/are retaining some in the fleet. Hornby is producing a model of this Azuma train which I’m sure will be a popular selling model.
