We love seeing how you all use our baseboard kits & the many fantastic layouts that you all create. Dave Carson has been in contacted & has asked if we can show you what he’s created with our BB022 Twin Track baseboard. Dave has put the BB022 micro baseboard to good use for his micro tram layout called, ‘Pacific Crossing, Birkenhead’.

Dave says he has been influenced by the Hong Kong built trams on the Wirral Heritage Tramway, to create this brilliant micro layout. The track plan is in the form of an ‘x’ with crossing crossover, with the track inlaid into the cobbled street. Other features include overhead catenary, low relief building which has been angled to follow the tracks, clocktower, war memorial. At the front is a walled curved seating area with people seated around a flower bed which bring an extra splash of colour & extra interest to this scene. 

As Dave shows in the photo up above, small micro boards are a great way to create a small scenic scene to display your models on. The small micro boards also as well, as to give you something to practice your modelling methods & techniques on before committing modelling work to a bigger layout, etc.
