North Yorkshire Moors Railway 1969

For our third video by Lovesteamok, it’s a trip back to 1969 for some archive footage. The footage features the Phoenix Railtour on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on the 20th July 1969.  It includes edited highlights of the tour run from Goathland to High Mill at Pickering & return back to Goathland. A number of changes since 1969 can be spotted such as a double track section that is now single track, & some forest plantations that have since been planted in Newtondale. Well worth a watch.
