The Idea
Whitwick Grove is a modern image, fictitious layout based in the East Midlands area, drawing inspiration from the Coalville, Whitwick and North West Leicestershire area. The infrastructure and architecture used on the layout is based on a variety of local structures and buildings, with a little modellers license thrown in for good measure.
The LAYOUT
We’ve used our own laser cut baseboard modules (2 x BB001 End Modules and two BB002 Middle Sections) to create a layout approx 1600mm x 290mm. Initially, operation will be via analogue control and standard Seep point motors, with a DCC upgrade to follow later in the year / early 2018.
