Recovery of Loco 66734 derailed by a landslide at Loch Treig in June 2012
Now here’s an idea for creating a scene using a locomotive model that is beyond repair, use it to create a recovery scene. Back in 2012 a class 66 locomotive 66 734 was involved in a landslide at Loch Treig in Scotland. Due to the nature of the remoteness of the location, it was deemed extremely difficulty in attempting access and recovering the locomotive from the site. It was eventually decided that the only economically viable solution was to cut up the loco on site. So we join TrainsTrainsTrains for a look at this Network Rail Video of the removal of 66 734.
