Scratch Build Test – Bridge Pier

This past weekend I’ve been trying out a few ideas for a for a possible future kit release. One of these is a scratch built test build concrete style central bridge pier, for use with the Bowstring & Girder Bridge kits. The aim of this kit will be to make it a quick & easy build, being suitable for a beginner modeller upwards. Tools needed are Craft knife, Steel ruler for cutting against, cutting mat, Roket Card Glue for assembly of the base layers & glue stick (such as Pritt stick) for the texture wrap layers.

The central pier will have the option of being able to be built to suit various heights, such as in the photos for thus suitable for clearing OHLE catenary wires etc. More tweaks are still being done on this future kit, keep an eye on the regular Scalemodelscenery.co.uk newsletters.
