Spalding Model Railway Exhibition

At the weekend we were lucky enough to be able to get to visit the SPALDING MODEL RAILWAY EXHBITION 2017 at Springfields exhibition centre, Spalding, Lincs.

It was packed and it was so good to see so many people visiting to see layouts. This is truly a wonderful hobby.

There were many layouts on display but one in particular I fell in love with, was Operation Abyss.

This is a OO Gauge end to end depicting a ficticous port preparing troops and equipment for D-Day. I am also very interested in WW2 models and play a lot of wargames, so to see these two interests come together was great.

This has inspired me to change the plans for our next layout. I think we will also make a WW2 themed layout. Watch this space.
