Tinsley TMD & Yard Model – First Update of 2021 – Layout changes, 1990s Open Day & Running Session
For the third video this weekend, we join Dave up at Tinsley TMD for the latest update on this rather large layout build. The layout is of Tinsley TMD loco depot & part of the huge marshalling yards including the shunting hump that the real Tinsley yard was famous for. Dave who was one of the loco maintance staff team at the real actual Tinsley TMD loco maintenance depot, & has used his knowledge to recreate the depot in 1:76 scale form. Dave has been busy working on the west side of the Tinsley TMD loco shed building. Work in progress includes fully fitting out with interior details, such as the raised tracks in the loco bays, locomotive maintenance platforms, the depot stores, lighting, hardstanding area amongst other bits. The video features an open Day from 1990 in which Dave has faithfully recreated with models of the actual locomotives that attended including a Black 5 steam locomotive. After a tour of the depot, the video finishes off with a running session.
Dave has used a number of our kits which include:
