This Modelling Tip Of The Day is an ongoing series, in which we’ll be posting a modelling tip that may be of use to the newbie right up to the seasoned modeller. Today’s tip is:

Don’t take on more than you can chew!

We all dream of having a big layout, with lots of features on such as big freight yards, big stations, & lots of running lines etc. But be realistic too! Proper planning with how you’ll build the baseboards, layout track plan & scenery, your modelling time, space for your layout & budget all need to be factored in. Don’t do this can quickly lead to your project stalling, or losing your modelling mojo & end up giving up.

Take your time to plan & research how you’ll build your layout. This will pay off with a great end result that you’ll be proud of. Rushing, planning & not taking your time Can quickly lead to a failed project.
