This Modelling Tip Of The Day is an ongoing series, in which we’ll be posting a modelling tip that may be of use to the newbie right up to the seasoned modeller. Today’s tip is:
Use the right tool
Use the right tool for the job for the job that’s being worked on. Don’t attempt to bodge by using tools for jobs they are not designed to do. This can lead to damaging models, breaking, causing more problems, or worse & end up having an accident!!
Stripping electrical wire, for example, don’t be tempted to just use a knife to remove the wire insulation layer. Use proper wire strippers which is quicker & safer!!
Great piece of advice and a great time saver by using the right tool the first time around. I have learnt that the hard way.
