Modelling Tip Of The Day – 83
This Modelling Tip Of The Day is an ongoing series, in which we’ll be posting a modelling tip that may be of use to the newbie right up to the seasoned modeller. Today’s tip is:
Nameplates
Today’s tip is an easy one for fixing nameplates to your locos. If using glue puts you off for attaching nameplates to your locos for fear of damage, use sticky tape instead. Cut a strip of double-sided sticky tape to suit the nameplate. Be sure to cut the tape a fraction smaller than the nameplate it’s self.
Place tape onto the back of the nameplate, then a case of simply pressing the nameplate into place on your loco. This way it’ll avoid any unwanted glue marks or damage from glue spillages on your model.
Great tip.
