Modelling Tip Of The Day – 89
This Modelling Tip Of The Day is an ongoing series, in which we’ll be posting a modelling tip that may be of use to the newbie right up to the seasoned modeller. Today’s tip is:
Avoid Cheap Scenery Products
Be careful when it comes to selecting scenery products, as they can be often false economy. Go for the best scenery products you can afford, & on what other modellers recommend in use. By trial & error you’ll will find which products are good & others to avoid. Some cheap products can fade in colour, or go discoloured when wet causing colours to run. This can mean having to rework & spend unnecessary funds to put right, which isn’t good if you are on a tight budget.
Take your time to inspect products when in the model shop or at model shows. Time taken to carefully select a quality produce is time well spent & money saved from having to rework or replace a failed cheaper item.
