Weathering Resin Buildings – Engine Shed

In this video Alan demonstrates his techniques for weathering resin buildings using ready mixed Weathering Liquids. Translucent and water soluble weathering dye, not acrylic paint. Makes things look dirty, old and weathered. After drying, smudge and wipe Modelmates with a damp cotton bud or kitchen roll to remove some of the dye and create realistic weathering effects. For interior use mainly, but can be used externally if sealed with a suitable fine matt varnish. May be used straight from the jar into an airbrush, or into a pot for application by brush. Shake before use so that you hear the ball bearing rattle. Dilute with water or spirits. Use on many types of materials such as plastic, card, wood, plaster and metal. It’s best to apply matt varnish to a surface before applying Weathering Liquid. Before use, test on hidden surfaces to check there is no damage or staining. It is best to seal painted surfaces with a matt varnish before applying weathering liquid. Before each use shake the jar until the ball bearing rattles, then shake a little more.
