Weathering Rolling Stock Using Weathering Powders

Next up, we join Hornby/Humbrol again for a look at one weathering method using weathering powders. Using weathering powders to create weathering effects is an easy method to learn & use. If you don’t have or have the confidence to use a paint airbrush then weathering powders make for a great alternative to the airbrushing. The video covers how to create rust & paint chipping effects, oil streaks, general dust & grime to your wagons & rolling stock.

If you fancy having a go for the first time using weathering powders, it’s worth buying a cheap old second-hand wagon model to have a go at practising on to build & grow your confidence. The video is well worth a watch.
